Procurement Officer/ Engineer

Role Summary We are a Riyadh-based fit-out and general contracting company delivering commercial, retail, hospitality, and office interiors across the Kingdom. We need a hands-on Procurement Officer / Procurement Engineer who understands fit-out materials, can read drawings and BOQs, and can buy the right materials at the right price on fast-track project timelines. This is not a desk-only purchasing role. You will work closely with project managers, site engineers, and the technical office to make sure materials reach site on time, to specification, and within budget. Key Responsibilities • Material Take-Off & Sourcing: Review BOQs, shop drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate material requisitions • Source fit-out materials including gypsum board and ceiling systems, joinery and woodwork, flooring (tiles, marble, vinyl, carpet), wall finishes, glass partitions, doors and ironmongery, sanitaryware, lighting, and loose furniture • Source civil and MEP-related items supporting the fit-out scope • RFQs, Tendering & Negotiation: Issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors, then prepare comparative bid analysis (technical and commercial) • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings • Evaluate subcontractor quotations for specialist packages (joinery, glazing, MEP, flooring) • Purchase Orders & Contracts: Prepare and issue purchase orders and subcontract agreements • Track PO status, deliveries, and invoices against project budgets • Coordinate with finance on supplier payments and LC / advance payment requirements • Submittals & Approvals: Coordinate material submittals, samples, and technical data sheets with the technical office for consultant / client approval • Ensure procured items match approved materials and specifications • Vendor Management: Build and maintain an approved vendor list of local Saudi suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors • Evaluate supplier performance on quality, price, and delivery • Manage long-lead and imported items, including customs and logistics follow-up • Site Coordination & Reporting: Coordinate deliveries with site teams and the store keeper; resolve shortages and rejections • Maintain procurement logs and trackers; report weekly status to the Project Manager and management Required Skills • Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials, finishes, and specifications • Ability to read architectural / interior drawings and BOQs • Established network of suppliers and subcontractors in Riyadh and KSA • Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar) is a plus • Strong negotiation, communication, and follow-up skills Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (mandatory) • Preferred: Transferable Iqama (for expatriate candidates) • Preferred: Valid Saudi driving license • Preferred: Experience on retail, F&B, hospitality, or corporate office fit-out projects • Preferred: Knowledge of SASO / SABER product compliance and import procedures Experience Requirement 3-7 years of procurement experience in fit-out or general contracting, with at least 2 years in Saudi Arabia Location / Work Mode Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (on-site) Show more Show less
