Procurement Engineer

About the Role We are looking for a highly motivated Procurement Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities for construction projects, sourcing materials and services, evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate should have a strong engineering background in Civil or Architectural Engineering and proven experience in procurement within the construction industry. Key Responsibilities: • Manage end-to-end procurement processes for construction projects. • Review technical specifications and project requirements to identify procurement needs. • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs). • Evaluate supplier quotations and conduct technical and commercial comparisons. • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract conditions with suppliers. • Prepare purchase orders and ensure compliance with company procurement procedures. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities. • Monitor procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. • Coordinate with project, engineering, commercial, and logistics teams to support project execution. • Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare periodic procurement reports. • Ensure compliance with quality standards, contractual requirements, and company policies. Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture Engineering. • Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement within the construction, contracting, or engineering sector. • Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and procurement practices. • Experience in supplier evaluation, bidding processes, and contract negotiations. • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software. • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. • Ability to manage multiple procurement packages and meet tight deadlines. • Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
