Sales Manager

Our client is seeking a commercially driven and results-oriented Sales Manager with a strong background in AV Rentals within the Events & Exhibitions industry. This role is focused on new business development, revenue generation, and market expansion. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities, acquiring new clients, and converting prospects into long-term business partnerships. We are looking for a proactive sales hunter with a proven track record of winning new business. This is not an account management-focused position; the priority is someone who can actively generate leads, open new doors, secure new contracts, and deliver measurable commercial growth. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business and achieve revenue targets. • Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new clients within the Events & Exhibitions industry. • Build relationships with exhibition organisers, event organisers, event agencies, production companies, exhibition stand contractors, and corporate clients. • Identify opportunities to supply AV rental equipment and technical solutions for exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, corporate events, and live events. • Drive the full sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting to client meetings, proposals, negotiations, and contract closure. • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, consistently converting opportunities into profitable business. • Research market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to expand the company's client base. • Develop strategic partnerships that support long-term revenue growth and market penetration. • Work closely with technical, operations, and project delivery teams to develop suitable solutions and ensure client requirements are met. • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and CRM records. • Consistently achieve and exceed agreed sales targets, revenue objectives, and new client acquisition goals. Requirements • Mandatory experience working for an AV Rentals company, preferably within the Events & Exhibitions industry. • Proven track record in new business development and winning new clients. • Strong understanding of AV rental solutions, including LED screens, audio systems, visual equipment, lighting, staging, and event technology. • Established network of contacts within the Events & Exhibitions, live events, event production, or exhibition services sectors. • Demonstrated ability to generate leads independently, develop new markets, and close commercial deals. • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and a results-driven mindset. • Experience managing the complete sales cycle, from prospecting through to contract closure. • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales pipeline management, and revenue forecasting. • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment. Key Success Factors The successful candidate will be measured by their ability to: • Generate and secure new business opportunities. • Acquire new clients and expand the company's market reach. • Achieve and exceed revenue and sales targets. • Build a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities. • Convert prospects into profitable contracts and repeat business. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a hunter mentality rather than an account management mindset. The ideal candidate will be commercially ambitious, well-connected within the AV Rentals and Events & Exhibitions industry, and capable of independently bringing in new business. Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on maintaining existing accounts, servicing clients, or managing relationships without demonstrable new business generation may not be suitable for this role. ***We will be shortlisting candidates within the next two weeks. If you do not hear from us during this time, it means your profile has not been selected on this occasion. We truly appreciate your interest and the time you invested in applying.
