Civil Procurement Engineer (High-Rise Residential)

Role Description The Procurement Engineer is a full-time, on-site role responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for property development projects. The role includes preparing and processing purchase orders, sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services. The Procurement Engineer will review and negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and maintain accurate procurement records. This position collaborates closely with project, finance, and operations teams in Abu Dhabi to optimize costs, ensure quality, and support project timelines while adhering to company policies and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing & Purchasing • Source and procure materials, equipment, tools, and subcontractor services as required for projects. • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and vendors. • Prepare and issue purchase orders and related procurement documentation. • Ensure procurement activities align with approved project budgets and requirements. Quotation Analysis & Negotiation • Compare supplier quotations and prepare bid analysis and cost comparison reports. • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contract conditions with suppliers and vendors. • Support contract negotiations to achieve best value and compliance with company standards. Supplier & Vendor Management • Maintain and regularly update supplier and vendor contact databases. • Monitor supplier performance, responsiveness, and compliance with agreed terms. • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Documentation & Compliance • Maintain accurate procurement records including contracts, quotations, purchase orders, and supplier agreements. • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and project specifications. • Support contract administration and ensure proper documentation control. Coordination & Cost Support • Coordinate closely with the reporting manager regarding material requirements and procurement planning. • Assist in analyzing item-specific costs for project budget preparation. • Support the reporting manager in all procurement-related activities as required. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong Procurement and Purchasing skills, with experience in managing sourcing processes and vendor relationships. • Candidates should possess experience in preparing and tracking Purchase Orders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project and budget requirements. • Candidates should possess Contract Negotiation skills, including the ability to secure favorable terms and ensure compliance with legal and company standards. • Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to assess bids, evaluate supplier performance, and support data-driven decision-making. • Relevant bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office, with attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Experience • Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate, construction, or property development procurement is required. • Must be specialized in civil procurement for the construction of high-rise residential buildings.
