Role Description The Lighting Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuwait City. This role is responsible for developing lighting concepts and detailed designs for residential, commercial, and high-rise projects in coordination with architects, interior designers, and engineering teams. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lighting layouts, selecting fixtures and control systems, producing technical drawings and specifications, and ensuring compliance with project standards and local regulations. The Lighting Designer will collaborate with project stakeholders, participate in design reviews, support site teams during installation, and assist with testing, commissioning, and adjustments to achieve the desired visual and functional outcomes. The role also involves staying current with industry trends, energy-efficient solutions, and emerging lighting technologies. Qualifications • Strong skills in Lighting Design and Architectural Lighting for residential, commercial, and high-rise projects. • Experience in Lighting Control systems and general Lighting solutions, including energy-efficient and smart lighting approaches. • Knowledge of Interior Design principles to align lighting concepts with architectural and aesthetic requirements. • Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, or similar lighting calculation tools). • Understanding of electrical and MEP coordination related to lighting installations. • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and building codes relevant to lighting and safety. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary project teams. • Detail-oriented approach, problem-solving mindset, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. • Previous experience in construction or consultancy environments in the GCC region is an advantage.
