Role Description The Commis Chef – Arabic at Hampton in Kuwait is a full-time, on-site role focused on supporting the preparation and cooking of Arabic cuisine in a busy hotel kitchen. The individual in this role assists senior chefs with mise en place, cooking, and plating, ensuring dishes meet brand standards for taste, presentation, and portion control. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to hygiene and food safety requirements, and correctly storing ingredients and supplies. The Commis Chef – Arabic also collaborates with the culinary team, follows established recipes and production schedules, and supports buffet and à la carte service as needed. This role contributes to a positive guest experience by delivering consistent, high-quality food and working effectively with colleagues across the kitchen and wider hotel operations. Qualifications • Strong food preparation and cooking abilities, with practical culinary skills in Arabic cuisine. • Sound knowledge of hygiene, food safety standards, and proper kitchen sanitation practices. • Effective communication skills to work smoothly with culinary team members and other hotel departments. • Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and brand standards while maintaining quality and consistency. • Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen is preferred, especially in Arabic cuisine. • Relevant culinary training or certification is an advantage. • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
