Field Service Technician

About The Role Join a leading industrial services team supporting the repair, overhaul and maintenance of rotating equipment including pumps, motors and turbines. This hands-on role combines workshop and site-based work, offering excellent exposure to customer-facing field service projects across the region. Ideal for Mechanical or Electrical Technicians with strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for working on critical equipment. Key Responsibilities • Carry out inspection, repair, overhaul and rebuilding of rotating equipment. • Perform field service activities at customer sites and within the workshop. • Conduct equipment alignment, balancing and troubleshooting. • Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. • Liaise directly with customers and prepare service reports. • Supervise subcontractors when required. • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards. Essential Skills We Need From You • Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or a related engineering discipline. • 5+ years' experience working with rotating equipment. • Previous field service experience in industrial environments. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Experience with pumps, motors, compressors, turbines or similar equipment. • Ability to read engineering drawings. • Fluent English communication skills. • Willingness to travel more than 50% of the time. Ideal Background Experience within Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Petrochemical, Water, Utilities, Industrial Manufacturing or Heavy Engineering environments, with hands-on exposure to the maintenance and overhaul of rotating equipment. Dismantle, Inspection, machining, repair and rebuilding of both Sulzer and non-Sulzer rotating equipment; Field service repairs and/or overhauls in both workshop and client locations; Supervision of subcontractors, from time to time; Liaising with customers to compile job reports and represent Sulzer in all aspects of rotating equipment services; Assist in the production and maintenance of the OSH, Quality and Environment policies and procedures; Assist in implementing and maintaining ISO accreditation; Interpreting engineering drawings; Balancing of rotating Equipment, and Alignment of pumps, motors etc.; Machining of components
