Network Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities • Implement and manage network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs. • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud security controls across various cloud platforms to protect sensitive data and applications. • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security weaknesses. • Analyze security events and alerts from SIEM platforms to detect and respond to threats effectively. • Develop and execute security auditing procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. • Automate security tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Python and Bash. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle and promote a security-conscious culture. Required Qualifications • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) degree. • 1 to 3 years of progressive experience in information security roles. • Demonstrated expertise in Network Security, Cloud Security, Firewall Management, and Intrusion Detection. • Proficiency in Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Testing, and Security Auditing. • Experience with SIEM Platforms and major Cloud Providers. • Solid understanding of security principles and risk management frameworks. • Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation. • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications • CCIE Security certification. • Experience with specific cloud security tools and services relevant to our environment. • Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and incident response procedures. • Experience in a multicultural and international work setting.
