Cyber Security Analyst

Key Responsibilities • Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and other security tools to detect and respond to potential threats. • Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective remediation strategies. • Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses and recommend security enhancements. • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. • Analyze threat intelligence to proactively identify emerging threats and develop appropriate defense mechanisms. • Implement and manage security controls for firewalls, cloud environments, endpoints, and other critical infrastructure. • Contribute to incident response planning and execution, ensuring minimal impact on business operations during security events. Required Qualifications Experience & Education • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) degree. • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity. Skills • Proven expertise in Network Security, Incident Response, Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Testing, and Threat Intelligence. • Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, Firewalls, and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS/IPS). • Solid understanding of Cryptography, Cloud Security, Endpoint Security, and Digital Forensics principles. • Proficiency in Risk Management frameworks and practices. • Demonstrated ability in scripting languages, particularly Python. • Strong Analytical Thinking and Problem-Solving capabilities. • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills, with meticulous Attention to Detail. Preferred Qualifications • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+. • Fluency in English.
