Junior Network Security Engineer

Job Summary We are looking for a Junior Network Security Engineer to support the implementation, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of network security solutions. The role will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to support network security operations, troubleshoot technical issues, implement approved configurations, and ensure the stability and security of network services. Key Responsibilities • Support the implementation and maintenance of network security solutions under the guidance of senior engineers. • Monitor network security systems and assist in identifying abnormal activities and security events. • Assist with the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, proxy, DNS, and other network security solutions. • Support troubleshooting of network connectivity and security-related issues. • Assist in reviewing network traffic flows and identifying potential security issues. • Support security-related projects, upgrades, technology implementations, and testing activities. • Implement approved security configurations and changes according to established procedures. • Assist with incident investigation, documentation, escalation, and resolution. • Coordinate with Network, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, SOC, Cloud, and Application teams when required. • Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and troubleshooting records. • Follow security policies, standards, and operational procedures. • Support continuous improvement initiatives and stay updated with relevant network security technologies. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field. • 0–2 years of experience in Networking, Cybersecurity, IT Infrastructure, or a related field. • Fresh graduates with relevant internship, academic projects, or hands-on lab experience are welcome to apply. • Basic understanding of networking and cybersecurity concepts. • Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, and network protocols. • Basic knowledge of network security technologies such as Firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, Proxy, and WAF. • Basic troubleshooting and analytical skills. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
