Chief Technology Officer

Co-Founder & CTO | AI-native HR Tech | Dubai (DIFC) I'm looking for a Co-Founder and CTO to build the technology behind a growing HR Tech company with me. We are fully funded at pre-seed, already revenue generating, and have grown 7.5X in two years. We launched our mobile platform last year and are now developing the next generation of the platform. I need a technical partner who wants to own it. Straight talk on the terms, because you should hear them first: • This is a co-founder seat, not a job • Reduced salary in Year 1. Growing to a market rate CTO salary in Year 2 • An investment is required to join the business • In return you get meaningful equity, plus sweat equity for the work you put in • Visa / Healthcare covered. • Full ownership of tech and product What we are building An AI-native marketplace for hiring in the GCC and MENA. The app is live on iOS and Android, and the development plan for the next stage is written and ready to execute: • A structured data layer: briefs, intake calls, candidate submissions, evidence-based feedback • Tag-based and semantic matching of candidates and specialists • AI agents that take the admin out of recruitment: screening, summarising, drafting, follow-ups • Voice and transcription for calls and interviews • Market intelligence from aggregated, privacy-controlled hiring demand data The vision is simple. Human expertise plus AI, on infrastructure the region's hiring market can trust. We want to be the default way GCC companies find recruiters and senior talent. The stack Node.js, React, PostgreSQL with pgvector, Docker, WebSockets, Playwright, OIDC and passwordless sign-in, Flutter for mobile. AI layer on LLM APIs (Claude, Voyage AI, Deepgram, ElevenLabs). Direct experience with most of this is ideal. What you will do • Own architecture, roadmap and engineering hiring • Take the platform from tested code to secure, scalable production • Ship AI features with proper evals, cost control and guardrails • Build data protection in from day one (UAE PDPL, DIFC, ADGM) • Be the technical voice with investors for the next raise Who you are • 8+ years shipping products, with team leadership experience • Strong Node.js and PostgreSQL, comfortable owning the whole stack • Hands-on with LLMs in production: RAG, embeddings, agents, evals • Security and privacy minded with sensitive personal data • Marketplace or HR Tech experience is a plus • Based in Dubai, or ready to relocate • Able and willing to invest in the business All conversations are confidential.
