Private Chef – UHNW Family, Dubai

About the Role A private family based in Dubai is seeking an accomplished Private Chef to take full ownership of the household's culinary life. Cooking for two adults and three children, you'll create food that is exceptional in flavour, variety and presentation, prepared with a thoughtful awareness of balance and nutrition. You'll work from a fully equipped professional chef's kitchen, separate from the main family kitchen, supported by a dedicated Chef's Hand who assists with preparation, service, cleaning and staff meals. The role is based in the UAE, with occasional travel to Europe and other destinations alongside the family. This role suits a hands-on chef with real creative flair, polished household experience, and the judgement to anticipate a family's needs before they're voiced. The family is also open to considering short term contracts for the right person. Key Responsibilities • Prepare all daily meals for the family, from relaxed weekday dinners to elevated entertaining. • Plan weekly menus in advance, offering variety across cuisines while adapting to the family's schedule, preferences and any dietary requirements. • Create appealing, well-balanced meals for children that they genuinely enjoy. • Prepare snacks, packed meals and food for activities, outings and travel. • Collaborate with the Estate Manager and, where relevant, wellness professionals to accommodate individual needs. • Lead and direct the Chef's Hand effectively, maintaining an organised, efficient kitchen. • Manage all food purchasing, supplier relationships, inventory and stock rotation, sourcing high-quality fresh and seasonal produce while minimising waste. • Uphold impeccable standards of food hygiene, storage and kitchen cleanliness. • Support private dinners and family entertaining as required. Travel You'll accompany the family on occasional trips abroad, cooking in private residences, villas, hotels or yachts. This requires adaptability to unfamiliar kitchens and local ingredients, forward planning for sourcing, and coordination with local staff and suppliers, all while maintaining the same standard of service as at home. Culinary Profile The family particularly enjoys Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine, with biryani a firm favourite, alongside a broad international repertoire. Authenticity matters: traditional dishes should be cooked with respect for their character and flavour. Candidates should bring: • Strong command of Asian and Middle Eastern cooking techniques. • A versatile international repertoire, from contemporary dishes to classic comfort food. • Expert handling of seafood, meat, poultry and fresh produce. • A refined eye for presentation and a sound understanding of balanced, nutritious cooking. About You • Extensive experience as a Private Chef within UHNW, HNW or high-profile households, preferred but not required. • Formal culinary training from a recognised institution, preferred but not required. • Experience cooking for families with children. • International private travel experience is highly desirable. • Highly organised, proactive and calm under changing schedules. • Polished, personable and an excellent communicator, with clear professional boundaries. • Absolute discretion and respect for family privacy. Package • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience • Full-time, residence-based in Dubai • Occasional international travel • Immediate start • The family is also open to considering short term contracts for the right person.
