Job Summary Responsible to follow all in-patient cases from end to end and closes the cases on the successful delivery of discharge summary report followed by collection of all dues in coordination with Finance. Major Duties and Responsibilities • Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Hospital and Clinics. • Follow all in-patient cases from the time of admission to discharge. • Coordinate with all relevant physicians on the progress of care about each patient. • Reviews the diagnosis reports and discuss the same with concerned physician. • Keeps the approvals tracking & inform the physicians accordingly to manage the care within the approved time limit. • Assess patient progress during their stay and against expected recovery. • Coordinate with nursing services for ensuring optimal care. • Receive and give analysis report to Business Center Manager on Census, Status, and Acuity with suggested solutions to any expected problem. • Ensure to maintain patients confidentiality. Gives orientation to new hires on policies and procedures pertaining to work area, eligibility of treatment, and Patient Care System. • Follows all department polices and procedures • Participates in on-going education program developed by the department, e.g. Department Policy and Procedures, Fire Safety, Risk Management, Environmental control. • Performs other clerical duties inherent in the function relevant to scheduling and receiving of patients. • Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned by the management. Reporting to Manager In-Patient Services Supervises Coordinator Assistant (s) Qualifications: A minimum of: Bachelors in Business Administration / Diploma in Management Seven (7) years’ experience, One year in general office procedure, preferably in a clinic, hospital, or physician’s office and at least four (4) years work experience. Experience in Patient Services Computer literate (Excel and Word 2000) Fluency in written English and Arabic. Tact, courtesy and public relations skills are a must.
