About the Job An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director – Human Resources to join Jumeirah Burj Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include: • Define and lead the people strategy for Jumeirah Burj Al Arab at one of the most extraordinary moments in its illustrious legacy, aligning culture, capability, and organisational ambition with the meticulous restoration and highly anticipated return of this global icon. • Working in direct partnership with the Managing Director and in close collaboration with Corporate HR, bring to life an ambitious resourcing agenda, captivating world-class talent, forging a distinguished leadership team, and ensuring the property is impeccably prepared for its reopening. • Elevate the HR function into a trusted centre of expertise, empowering the team, championing progressive practice, and delivering thoughtful, intuitive support throughout every stage of the transformation. • Inspire a renewed culture of excellence by coaching leaders to lead with purpose, deepening colleague engagement, and embedding the intuitive, generous, and deeply personalised service for which this legendary address is renowned. • Design a future-ready organisation through visionary workforce planning, agile structures, meaningful succession, and national talent development, creating enduring strength before, during, and beyond reopening. • Steward an inclusive, values-led, and high-performing workplace where colleagues can flourish, underpinned by exemplary employee relations, trusted governance, disciplined budget management, and the highest standards of legislative compliance. About You The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: • At least 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including 5 years at senior leadership level within luxury hospitality and an instinctive understanding of its uncompromising standards. • Proven Human Resources leadership of a luxury-hospitality pre-opening or landmark reopening is essential, with demonstrable success in large-scale recruitment, mobilisation, and operational readiness within a complex transformation environment. • A compelling and highly credible leadership presence, combining strategic influence, sound judgement, and the ability to advise the Managing Director, coach senior stakeholders, and unite teams behind a shared ambition. • Refined commercial acumen and comprehensive expertise spanning workforce planning, organisational design, employee relations, performance, engagement, talent development, HR governance, and employment legislation, balanced with a genuine passion for people and service excellence. • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Development, or a related discipline, ideally complemented by a master’s degree in Human Resources Management.
