About The Job • The team leader is responsible for all day-to-day planning, operations, communication and problem-solving within the team • Direct warehouse employees in the proper storage, inventory management, and handling in and out of goods within specified productivity and quality • Supporting any administration requirements for smooth operations such as: documentation, billing and reporting • Ensuring that all material handling equipment (MHE) and other warehouse tools and equipment are being maintained and managed appropriately, work instructions are being followed by the team the warehouse operation is running efficiently and with zero error approach, while providing expected customer service levels • Continuous Improvement Process focus (CIP) • Health and Safety standards are being communicated and followed • Warehouse reporting and information requirements are being met on a daily base and communicated properly to internal / external stakeholders • Recommending measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department and warehouse staff and equipment performance • Plan and execute stock counts and internal audits on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure Inventory accuracy and • Be the contact person for customer enquiries, complaints etc. • In addition to your specific job responsibilities, you may be called upon to carry out specific assignments by your supervisor / manager.
