Company: MTEC Electromechanical Works LLC Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Employment Type: Full-time Openings: 2 Minimum Experience: 7+ years of directly relevant experience ABOUT THE ROLE Prepare and coordinate mechanical technical deliverables for HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire-fighting systems from design review through approvals and site support. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Review contract drawings, specifications and BOQs and identify mechanical design discrepancies and missing information. • Prepare coordinated shop drawings, plantroom layouts, schematics, sections, details and builders-work requirements. • Prepare/verify project-required HVAC, pipe-sizing, pump-head, pressure-drop, ventilation and equipment-selection calculations under senior review. • Prepare material submittals, compliance statements, technical comparisons and responses to consultant comments. • Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire-fighting systems with electrical, architecture, structure and BIM teams. • Support procurement in reviewing supplier technical offers, datasheets and alternatives for compliance. • Maintain drawing/submittal/RFI trackers and prioritize technical deliverables according to procurement and construction needs. • Resolve site technical queries, coordinate approved changes and maintain accurate red-line/as-built information. • Support testing, commissioning and handover documentation for assigned mechanical systems. REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Minimum 7 years of relevant mechanical MEP experience in contracting or construction. • Practical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire-fighting systems. • Experience preparing shop drawings, material submittals, calculations, RFIs and coordinated details. • Working knowledge of ASHRAE/SMACNA/NFPA and relevant UAE authority requirements as applicable. • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/Navisworks experience is an advantage. • UAE/GCC building-project experience is strongly preferred. • Strong coordination, problem-solving and document-quality skills.
