Site Civil Engineer (Fit Out)

Role Description The Site Civil Engineer (Fit Out) is a full-time, on-site role located in Abu Dhabi, responsible for overseeing civil works associated with interior fit-out projects. The role includes supervising site activities, coordinating with subcontractors and other disciplines, and ensuring civil works comply with approved design drawings, specifications, and local regulations. Daily tasks involve planning and sequencing work, inspecting and verifying structural and architectural elements, and resolving technical issues related to partitions, flooring, ceilings, openings, and associated civil components. The engineer will prepare and review method statements, progress reports, and site documentation, while monitoring quality, safety, and timelines. The role also requires close collaboration with project managers, consultants, and clients to ensure fit-out works are delivered on schedule and within budget. Qualifications • Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and practical experience as a Civil Engineer, with knowledge of building and fit-out works. • Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design, including interpretation of drawings, specifications, and standards for interior and architectural elements. • Finishing experience and eye for details • Experience in Planning and site coordination, including work scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking for fit-out projects. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline. • Familiarity with UAE building codes, authority requirements, and industry best practices. • Ability to read and use CAD drawings and common engineering software tools. • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and quality standards. • Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with site teams, consultants, and clients. • Previous experience in fit-out or interior construction projects in the GCC region is must.
