Procurement Quality Engineer (Electrical and Instrumentation) Are you an experienced Procurement Quality Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation) with a solid background in supplier quality management, vendor inspections, and procurement quality surveillance for major Oil & Gas EPC projects? We are looking for a skilled professional to ensure the quality, compliance, and timely delivery of critical Electrical and Instrumentation materials and equipment supporting large-scale construction projects. YOUR ROLE As Procurement Quality Engineer (Electrical and Instrumentation), your key responsibilities include but not limited to: • Review and approve supplier quality documentation, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans, Manufacturing Procedures, and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) protocols. • Manage procurement quality activities throughout the sourcing, manufacturing, inspection, and delivery phases. • Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and qualification reviews. • Coordinate vendor inspections, surveillance activities, and third-party inspection agencies. • Witness FATs, routine tests, type tests, and performance tests for electrical and instrumentation equipment. • Monitor supplier compliance with project specifications, international standards, client requirements, and EPC quality procedures. • Lead resolution of supplier quality issues, NCRs, and corrective action implementation. • Review manufacturing records, calibration certificates, test reports, and final documentation packages. • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Expediting, and Project Management teams. • Support site construction teams with technical quality concerns related to procured E&I materials. The successful candidate will have procurement quality experience on: Electrical Equipment • Power and Distribution Transformers • Switchgear (LV/MV/HV) • Motor Control Centers (MCCs) • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) • UPS Systems • Battery Chargers and Battery Banks • Electrical Panels and Distribution Boards • Power, Control, Instrumentation, and Fiber Optic Cables • Cable Glands, Junction Boxes, and Lighting Systems • Earthing and Lightning Protection Systems • Electric Motors and Associated Equipment Instrumentation & Control Systems • Pressure, Temperature, Flow, and Level Instruments • Control Valves and On-Off Valves • Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) • Distributed Control Systems (DCS) • Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD) • PLC Panels and Remote I/O Systems • Analyzer Packages • Fire & Gas Detection Systems • Instrument Tubing and Fittings • Field Junction Boxes and Marshaling Cabinets WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Experience • Minimum 10+ years of Procurement Quality, Supplier Quality, QA/QC, or Vendor Inspection experience within Oil & Gas EPC projects. • Experience witnessing: Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Routine and Type Testing, Instrument Calibration Activities, Functional Testing and System Integration Testing. Education and Certifications • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline. • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification. Skills and Competencies • Familiarity with hazardous area equipment certification and inspection requirements. • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for electrical and instrumentation equipment. • Experience coordinating with international vendors, inspection agencies, and EPC project teams.
