Procurement Quality Engineer (Mechanical)

Procurement Quality Engineer (Mechanical) Are you a highly experienced Procurement Quality Engineer (Mechanical) with a strong background in supplier quality surveillance, inspection, and expediting activities for Oil & Gas EPC projects? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of procured mechanical equipment and materials, including storage tanks, piping systems, and static equipment throughout the procurement lifecycle. YOUR ROLE As Procurement Quality Engineer (Mechanical), your key responsibilities include but not limited to: • Review and approve supplier quality documents, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans, and Manufacturing Procedures. • Coordinate procurement quality activities for mechanical equipment and bulk materials used in Oil & Gas EPC projects. • Perform supplier quality assessments, audits, and qualification evaluations. • Monitor manufacturing progress and conduct surveillance at vendor facilities. • Coordinate third-party inspections and witness critical testing activities. • Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, client requirements, and applicable codes. • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and supplier quality improvement initiatives. • Review manufacturing data books and quality dossiers prior to shipment. • Interface with Procurement, Engineering, Construction, and Project Management teams to resolve quality-related issues. • Support material receiving inspections and quality matters during project execution. The successful candidate will have procurement quality experience on: • Storage Tanks : Atmospheric Storage Tanks, API 650 Tanks, Tank Internals and Accessories • Piping Systems : Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel Piping, Pipe Fittings and Flanges, Valves and Specialty Items, Pipe Supports • Static Equipment : Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Separators, Filters, Columns and Drums Skids and Packaged Mechanical Equipment WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Experience • Minimum 10+ years of experience in Procurement Quality, QA/QC, or Supplier Quality within Oil & Gas EPC projects. • Experience managing inspections at supplier workshops and fabrication facilities. Education and Certifications • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. • Lead Auditor ISO 9001 certification. Skills and Competencies • Strong knowledge of: API 650, API 620, ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3, ASTM Standards, ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems • Familiarity with welding, NDT, coating, heat treatment, and mechanical testing requirements. • Strong understanding of EPC project procurement processes and vendor manufacturing activities. • Ability to work effectively with international suppliers, third-party inspectors, and project stakeholders. Experience minimum 10+ years in Procurement Quality, QA/QC, or Supplier Quality within Oil & Gas EPC projects. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Lead Auditor ISO 9001 certification.
