Department: Procurement Reports To: Procurement Manager / Director - Procurement Location: Abu Dhabi / Liwa, UAE Employment Type: Contract Salary: AED 15,000 per month Job Purpose The QS Manager will provide commercial and technical oversight by verifying quantities and quality of event-related works delivered by suppliers against approved BOQs prepared by the Production Department. The role will lead the quantity verification process, certify verified quantities for commercial validation and supplier payment, and ensure accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Key Duties & Responsibilities - Review and interpret approved BOQs, drawings and technical specifications. - Lead the quantity surveying and verification process across assigned projects. - Conduct periodic site inspections during build-up, live event operations and dismantling. - Validate measurements and quantity records prepared by the QS Coordinator. - Verify delivered quantities against approved BOQs. - Inspect event-related works, including fabrication, branding, flooring, fencing, temporary structures, rentals and installations. - Review workmanship, finishes and compliance with approved specifications. - Identify, investigate and resolve quantity and quality discrepancies with suppliers and project teams. - Approve quantity verification reports before invoice processing. - Provide commercial support during supplier reconciliations and payment validation. - Support Procurement during audits and supplier performance reviews. - Raise and manage quantity and quality discrepancy reports. - Recommend acceptance or rejection of deliveries, escalating final approval requirements where applicable. - Escalate significant commercial or technical issues to Procurement Management. - Mentor, guide and supervise the QS Coordinator. - Ensure accurate and timely reporting throughout all project phases. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction or a related discipline. - 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within events, exhibitions, fit-out, construction or large-scale temporary structures. - Strong experience in BOQ review, quantity measurement and site verification. - Experience managing suppliers and resolving commercial discrepancies is highly desirable. - Previous experience working on large-scale events or complex site-based projects is preferred. Working Conditions - Frequent travel to event sites, supplier facilities and warehouses. - The role will primarily be based in Abu Dhabi / Liwa, with occasional requirements to work from the Dubai office. - Extended working hours may be required during event build-up, live operations and dismantling. - During the early stages of the project, deployment may typically be from Monday to Thursday, depending on the project schedule. - During the live event period, the candidate will generally receive one day off per week. - On-site accommodation will be provided during the Liwa deployment.
