Job Purpose The Scaffolding Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, coordination, and successful delivery of scaffolding projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with client requirements and company standards. The role requires strong scaffolding-specific technical and operational experience, with the ability to manage manpower, materials, site activities, commercial performance, safety, and client relationships across multiple projects. Key Responsibilities Project Management & Operations • Manage scaffolding projects from mobilisation through execution, completion, and demobilisation • Develop project plans, schedules, manpower requirements, material requirements, and mobilisation strategies • Coordinate daily scaffolding activities, including erection, modification, inspection, handover, and dismantling • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed scope, programme, budget, and client expectations • Monitor project progress and proactively address delays, resource constraints, and operational challenges • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers • Ensure all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements • Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditions • Resolve any disputes or issues that arise during the contract lifecycle • Coordinate closely with Operations, Engineering, Commercial, HSE, Logistics, and Human Capital teams • Ensure scaffolding activities are carried out in accordance with approved designs, method statements, risk assessments, and applicable scaffolding standards • Maintain effective control and utilisation of scaffolding materials and equipment • Ensure adequate numbers of competent Scaffolders, Chargehands, Foremen, Supervisors, and Inspectors are deployed according to project requirements • Coordinate with scaffolding design/engineering teams regarding complex or non-standard scaffold requirements • Ensure scaffolds are properly inspected, tagged, handed over, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle Commercial & Cost Control • Monitor project budgets, labour productivity, material utilisation, equipment costs, and overall project profitability • Track project variations and additional works and ensure they are properly documented and communicated • Support accurate forecasting, cost reporting, invoicing, and commercial reviews • Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce unnecessary project costs without compromising safety or quality Client & Stakeholder Management • Act as a key point of contact for clients regarding project delivery and scaffolding operations • Attend client meetings, progress meetings, and internal project reviews • Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders • Respond promptly to operational issues and client requirements while protecting the company's commercial and operational interests Team & Workforce Management • Lead and coordinate project teams, supervisors, foremen, and scaffolding workforce • Set clear expectations for safety, productivity, quality, and performance • Monitor workforce performance and identify training or competency Requirements Qualifications & Experience +8 Years of experience as a scaffolding project manager. • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline is preferred • Significant hands-on experience within the scaffolding industry is essential • Proven experience managing medium to large-scale scaffolding projects • Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems, erection and dismantling methodologies, Work at Height requirements, and scaffolding safety standards • Experience managing large scaffolding workforces, materials, logistics, and project resources • Previous experience within construction, industrial, oil & gas, infrastructure, or major projects is highly desirable • Relevant scaffolding qualifications or certifications such as CISRS or equivalent are advantageous • Project Management qualifications such as PMP or equivalent are advantageous Key Skills & Competencies • Strong scaffolding technical and operational knowledge • Project planning and execution • Manpower and resource management • Commercial awareness and cost control • Leadership and team management • Strong HSE and Work at Height awareness • Client and stakeholder management • Problem-solving and decision-making • Strong communication and reporting skills • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and demanding project environments Show more Show less
