• Position Details • Position Title: Project Manager • Location: Abu Dhabi / Fabrication Yard / Offshore (as per assignment) • Reporting To: Senior Project Manager / Project Director • Functional Reporting: Project Execution / Delivery Head • Direct Reports: • Project Engineers • Discipline Engineers / Coordinators • Construction / Fabrication Supervisors • Role Purpose To manage and deliver specific project scope / sub-package / work-front, ensuring: • Execution in line with schedule, cost, quality, and HSE requirements • Effective coordination of engineering, procurement, and construction activities • Achievement of package deliverables and milestones • Alignment with overall project objectives and strategy • Detailed Key Responsibilities 3.1 Scope Management & Execution • Take ownership of assigned project scope / discipline / work-front • Ensure execution in accordance with: • Contract requirements • Technical specifications • Approved procedures • Monitor deliverables and progress against plan 3.2 Engineering Coordination • Ensure timely preparation and approval of: • Engineering deliverables • Drawings and specifications • Coordinate with engineering team to: • Resolve technical queries (TQs) • Address design clashes • Support constructability and design optimization 3.3 Procurement Coordination • Monitor procurement activities related to assigned scope • Track: • Long-lead items • Vendor deliverables • Coordinate with Procurement for: • Expediting • Inspection and delivery 3.4 Fabrication & Construction Management • Supervise execution at: • Fabrication yard(s) • Site / offshore (as applicable) • Monitor: • Productivity • Progress and work quality • Address execution constraints and ensure smooth workflow 3.5 Offshore Installation & Commissioning (if applicable) • Support: • Load-out and transportation readiness • Offshore installation and hook-up activities • Coordinate with commissioning teams for: • System completion and testing 3.6 Schedule Control & Progress Monitoring • Track scope-related activities in: • Level 3 / Level 4 schedules • Monitor: • Critical and near-critical activities • Identify delays and support development of recovery plans 3.7 Cost Awareness & Control • Monitor cost elements related to assigned scope • Support cost control team in: • Tracking budget vs actual • Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce costs 3.8 Interface Coordination • Manage interfaces between: • Engineering, procurement, and construction teams • Coordinate with Interface Manager for: • Cross-package dependencies • Ensure timely resolution of interface issues 3.9 HSE Compliance • Ensure adherence to: • Project HSE standards • Permit to Work (PTW) systems • Promote safe work practices and participate in: • Tool-box talks • Safety audits 3.10 Quality Assurance • Ensure compliance with: • Quality procedures and ITPs • Monitor: • Inspections and testing • NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) • Support closure of quality issues 3.11 Risk & Issue Management • Identify risks impacting assigned scope • Escalate critical risks to Senior Project Manager • Support mitigation and corrective actions 3.12 Contract & Commercial Awareness • Identify: • Potential variations • Scope changes • Provide inputs to: • Contracts Manager for claims and EOT support • Maintain proper documentation of deviations 3.13 Reporting & Communication • Prepare: • Daily and weekly progress updates • Report to: • Senior Project Manager • Participate in: • Coordination and review meetings 3.14 Team Coordination & Resource Management • Supervise engineers and site teams • Ensure: • Adequate manpower allocation • Efficient utilization of resources • Support team development and performance tracking • Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical / Civil / Offshore preferred) • 12–18+ years of EPC project experience • Minimum 5–8 years in Project Management / Package handling roles • Experience in: • Offshore or brownfield projects • Multi-discipline coordination • Preferably Middle East experience • Technical Competencies • EPC project execution processes • Fabrication and construction practices • Basic planning & scheduling knowledge (Primavera awareness) • Cost tracking basics • Understanding of QA/QC and HSE requirements • Contractual awareness • Behavioural Competencies • Strong coordination and organizational skills • Problem-solving and proactive approach • Effective communication and teamwork • Accountability and ownership • Ability to work under project pressures Show more Show less
