Project Director

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to join a major new rail programme. The successful candidate will take a senior leadership position, overseeing project delivery and working with a highly experienced international team. This is a long-term opportunity offering the chance to play a key role in the delivery of a major transport infrastructure programme. Key Responsibilities • Provide senior leadership and strategic direction across the project. • Oversee the successful delivery of major rail infrastructure works. • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, consultants and contractors. • Manage programme, budget, risk, quality and overall project performance. • Drive effective coordination between the JV partners, client, PMC and delivery teams. • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual, technical, safety and quality requirements. • Provide senior-level reporting and stakeholder management. • Identify and resolve complex project issues and delivery risks. • Ensure effective integration of tunnelling and wider rail infrastructure works. Requirements • Extensive experience working on major rail infrastructure projects. • Proven experience at Project Director / Programme Director / senior project leadership level. • Strong experience delivering high-value, complex rail programmes. • Significant tunnelling experience is essential. • Experience working across multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. • Strong understanding of project controls, programme management, commercial delivery and risk. • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. • International project experience is preferred.
