Job Title: Project Manager Key Responsibilities • Project Management: Fully responsible for the organization, implementation, and overall management of the project to ensure execution in strict accordance with contract requirements. • Construction Management: Lead on-site construction management; coordinate civil works, building engineering, and other related construction activities to ensure execution aligns with approved drawings, technical specifications, and baseline schedules. • Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and enforce project construction plans, track progress continuously, identify schedule delays early, and implement effective corrective measures. • Cost Control: Partner with the Commercial / Quantity Surveying team to implement strict project cost controls, monitoring materials, labor, subcontracts, and other project expenses. • Subcontractor Management: Manage and coordinate subcontractors, supervising their performance to ensure deliverables strictly meet contract terms, schedules, and quality standards. • Quality Management: Ensure all construction works comply with project quality standards, approved drawings, technical specifications, and local codes; resolve on-site quality issues in a timely manner. • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Collaborate with the HSE team to enforce site safety protocols, ensuring full compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. • Consultant Coordination: Act as the main liaison with project consultants, clients/employers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to proactively resolve construction-related issues. • Government Authority Liaison: Coordinate statutory inspections and NOC approvals with relevant Dubai authorities as required, including Dubai Municipality (DM), Civil Defence (DCD), Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). • Technical Coordination: Collaborate with design teams, site engineers, and technical personnel to address discrepancies in construction drawings, method statements, and site execution issues. • Project Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management regarding project progress, cost tracking, quality performance, site issues, and risk profiles. • Contract Management: Assist in overseeing contract administration, paying close attention to variations, Extension of Time (EOT) claims, and potential disputes. • Team Leadership: Organize and lead the project site team, efficiently allocating work and resources across engineers, superintendents, and site staff. • Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks relating to timeline, budget, quality, construction methodology, and contracts, developing viable mitigation strategies. Qualifications & Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline. • 8–10+ years of proven construction experience in building and civil projects. • Hands-on experience in on-site construction execution and comprehensive project management. • Strong familiarity with Dubai Municipality (DM) and local Dubai authority approval procedures is preferred. • Demonstrated experience in liaising effectively with consultants, clients, and subcontractors. • Robust project planning, cost control, and team management capabilities. • Professional fluency in English (both written and spoken). • Direct experience on construction projects within Dubai is required.
