📍 Dubai, UAE • 🏢 Lamipak • 📦 Packaging / Manufacturing • Full-time On-site The Context Lamipak, a packaging manufacturer with regional operations across MEA, is looking for a Logistics Manager to own large-scale import and cross-border logistics across the region. The role manages a monthly volume of 100+ containers (TEU), covering destination port operations, customs clearance, shipping line negotiations, and inland container transportation — with a strong commercial interface toward major clients and sales teams. What The Role Covers High-Volume Port & Customs Operations You manage high-volume destination port arrivals, customs declarations, clearance, and container trucking for 100+ TEUs monthly. You monitor shipping schedules, yard status, and port dynamics in real time, coordinating resolution of customs inspections and holds to minimize delays and protect delivery timelines. Shipping Line Negotiation & Freight Management You maintain direct relationships with shipping lines and carriers, negotiating fee waivers on Demurrage and Detention charges and managing capacity allocation. You optimize inland container transportation routes and fleet arrangements to reduce delays, cargo damage, and refusal risks. Commercial Support & Client Coordination You engage early in major sales deals to provide logistics solutions, cost estimations, and delivery commitments. You liaise directly with key distributors and VIP clients, coordinating logistics milestones and resolving complex delivery issues with urgency. Vendor Network & Cost Control You develop and manage a local vendor network across the MEA region covering trucking fleets, customs brokers, forwarders, and bonded yards. You oversee the regional bulk logistics budget and identify cost reduction opportunities across port, clearance, and trucking operations through active vendor negotiation. Compliance & Standardization You ensure trade compliance, manage customs risks, and develop standardized SOPs and contingency plans for scenarios including customs holds and shipping line disputes. Candidate Profile • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field • 8+ years of hands-on logistics management experience in the MEA region • Demonstrated experience managing 100+ containers monthly with strong FCL import/export expertise • Experience across both Africa AND the Middle East is mandatory • Proven track record negotiating directly with major shipping lines on demurrage, detention, and space allocation • In-house manufacturing logistics background preferred • Fluent English with ability to conduct high-stakes business negotiations Why This Role Stands Out - Supply Tech Nexus Take Lamipak's dual Africa and Middle East requirement is a genuine hard filter that makes this one of the more unusual Logistics Manager searches currently active in Dubai. Very few candidates hold deep operational experience across both regions simultaneously, which means the qualified pool is small and the role offers real leverage for the right profile. Managing 100+ TEUs monthly in a manufacturing logistics context is also a meaningfully high volume that speaks to real operational complexity. For logistics professionals with MEA cross-border experience and strong shipping line relationships, this is a well-scoped, senior role with direct commercial impact. Salary Benchmark - UAE Market (2024/2025) For a Logistics Manager with 8+ years of MEA import/export experience, based in Dubai: • Base salary: AED 20,000 - 32,000/month Curated and published by Supply Tech Nexus - the job platform dedicated to supply chain and logistics professionals across the MENA & GCC region.
