Senior Legal Counsel

Senior Legal Counsel (6-Month Contract) Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE We are working with a dynamic and rapidly expanding investment and technology-focused organisation in Abu Dhabi to recruit a Senior Legal Counsel for an initial 6-month contract, with a strong possibility of a permanent opportunity. This is an excellent opportunity to join a sophisticated, entrepreneurial business operating across multiple jurisdictions and high-growth sectors, including technology, AI, digital assets, financial services, and strategic investments. The position offers direct engagement with senior leadership and involvement in complex, high-value commercial and strategic matters across the UAE and international markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the legal function across corporate structuring, commercial contracts, investments, regulatory matters, and strategic business initiatives within a fast-paced and evolving organisation. Key Responsibilities • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including technology, services, licensing, partnership, and vendor contracts. • Support corporate structuring, governance, and entity management across UAE and offshore jurisdictions. • Assist with M&A, strategic investments, and joint venture transactions, including due diligence and transaction documentation. • Provide legal and regulatory advice relating to technology, AI, digital platforms, and emerging business models. • Work closely with external counsel while supporting broader legal and compliance initiatives across the group. Requirements • Qualified lawyer from a recognised common-law jurisdiction. • 8+ years' PQE gained within a leading law firm and/or an in-house legal environment. • Strong background in corporate, commercial, and transactional legal matters. • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. • Experience advising on cross-border matters within fast-paced, commercial environments. • UAE experience, together with exposure to technology, fintech, AI, or digital assets, would be advantageous. Qualified lawyer from a recognised common-law jurisdiction. 8+ years' PQE gained within a leading law firm and/or an in-house legal environment. Strong background in corporate, commercial, and transactional legal matters. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
