General Purpose of the Position To ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and compliance with approved accounting policies, regulations, and standards, while reviewing accounting operations, providing support and guidance, and contributing to the development and improvement of financial processes. Duties and Responsibilities • Review and approve journal entries and accounting transactions and verify the accuracy and completeness of supporting documents. • Review payroll, employee benefits, revenue, and supplier transactions and ensure compliance with approved policies and regulations. • Prepare and review periodic financial reports, analyse financial data, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance. • Follow up on accounting discrepancies and issues and take appropriate corrective action. • Contribute to budgeting, financial forecasting, and the implementation of accounting policies and procedures. • Support internal and external audit activities by providing the required data and documentation. • Provide support and guidance to accountants and coordinate with relevant departments and entities. Academic Qualification Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Required Years of Experience A minimum of 3 years of practical experience, preferably in government accounting.
