Project Manager - High Rise Building

Project Manager - Main Contracting Location: Dubai, UAE We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale building projects from construction through to handover. This role requires a strong leader with proven experience managing complex developments for reputable main contractors within the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while managing multidisciplinary project teams and maintaining strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities • Lead the overall execution and delivery of construction projects from commencement through to final handover. • Develop and implement project execution plans, construction methodologies, and delivery programmes. • Manage project budgets, forecasts, procurement activities, and commercial performance. • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and client expectations. • Coordinate and manage site teams including Construction Managers, Engineers, QA/QC, Planning, Commercial and HSE personnel. • Monitor project progress against programme and proactively mitigate risks affecting schedule or cost. • Chair progress meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. • Oversee procurement schedules ensuring timely material deliveries and subcontractor mobilisation. • Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, health & safety legislation, and company procedures. • Review engineering solutions, temporary works, construction methodologies, and technical submissions. • Resolve commercial and contractual issues in collaboration with the Commercial team. • Manage change orders, variations, claims, and project reporting. • Maintain accurate project reporting including programme updates, financial forecasts, productivity reports, and risk registers. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors. • Drive a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the project team. • Lead project close-out activities including testing, commissioning, snagging, documentation, and final handover. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. • Minimum 12-18 years' construction experience with at least 5 years as Project Manager. • Proven experience working for recognised main contractors in the UAE or GCC. • Demonstrated success delivering high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use or large-scale building projects. • Strong understanding of project planning, construction methodologies, contract administration, and project controls. • Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams on projects exceeding AED 300M+ in value. • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, procurement, and project financial performance. • Excellent knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE construction regulations. • Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. • Excellent communication and presentation abilities. • Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office. • UAE experience is essential.
