Mechanical Site Engineer

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Supervision Engineer who holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering. This exciting opportunity to learn and grow with Al Shandagha Architects & Engineering Consultants will involve the supervision of construction works ensuring that the site construction work is in accordance with the requirements of the contract. We have iconic projects with in the built environment in Dubai. • Supervise and inspect mechanical works, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, LPG, and fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with contract documents and approved drawings. • Monitor the contractor's work to ensure it is executed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and approved construction methodologies. • Review and recommend approval of shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions. • Conduct site inspections and witness testing and commissioning of mechanical systems. • Review and approve Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and Testing & Commissioning requests submitted by the contractor. • Coordinate with the Resident Engineer, Project Manager, architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines to resolve technical and site issues. • Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Civil Defence (DCD), DEWA, and other applicable authority requirements. • Monitor construction progress and report delays, non-conformances, and quality issues. • Issue Site Instructions (SI), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and Site Observation Reports (SOR) where required. • Attend progress meetings, technical coordination meetings, and site inspections with clients and contractors. • Review contractors' monthly progress reports and certify completed mechanical works where applicable. • Verify as-built drawings, operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals, and project close-out documentation. • Assist in the preparation of snagging and de-snagging reports and ensure timely completion of outstanding works. • Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, and project documentation. • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in mechanical site supervision, preferably with an engineering consultancy in the UAE. • Experience in residential, commercial, healthcare, hospitality, or mixed-use developments. • Knowledge of UAE construction practices and local authority regulations. • Valid drivers licence.
