Role: Finance Manager & Business Controller Location: Dubai, UAE Company: Rentify Type: Full-time Requirement: Immediate Rentify is building the financial and operating infrastructure for renting in the UAE. Across Rentify Pay, Flex, Monthly, BELONG and Earn AI, we help tenants pay rent more flexibly while giving landlords and property managers better control over collections, renewals, reconciliation and portfolio operations. We are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager & Business Controller to build and own the company’s finance function during an important stage of growth. This is not a traditional accounting role. You will work closely with the founders and leadership team across cash management, transaction controls, product economics, budgeting, financial reporting and investor readiness. What you will own Cash, budgeting and runway • Maintain a clear view of cash balances, burn and runway • Build and manage a rolling 13-week cash-flow forecast • Lead annual and monthly budgeting • Track actual performance against budget • Manage payment schedules, payroll coordination and financial approvals • Model the financial impact of hiring, product and commercial decisions Transaction reconciliation and controls • Reconcile customer payments, payment gateway reports and bank receipts • Track landlord settlements, refunds, failed payments and reversals • Reconcile partner commissions and revenue-sharing arrangements • Build daily and weekly exception reports • Ensure every transaction is accurately linked to the relevant customer, landlord and commercial agreement • Strengthen financial controls as transaction volumes grow Revenue and product economics • Build financial models for Rentify Pay, Flex, Monthly, BELONG and Earn AI • Track transaction value, revenue, direct costs and contribution margin by product • Support pricing and commercial decisions • Analyse customer and portfolio profitability • Review partner economics across banks, payment providers and property managers • Help the business understand where growth is creating real financial value Management and investor reporting • Lead the monthly financial close with support from external accountants • Prepare monthly management accounts and founder reporting • Build dashboards covering revenue, gross margin, burn, runway and customer concentration • Maintain investor and board reporting metrics • Support fundraising, due diligence and financial planning • Ensure financial information is accurate, consistent and ready for external review Accounting, tax and compliance coordination • Manage external accounting, tax and audit partners • Ensure timely completion of statutory filings and financial statements • Maintain strong financial documentation and controls • Develop accounting policies for new products and revenue streams • Improve finance systems and processes as the company scales Ideal industry and company backgrounds We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked in businesses where finance sits close to transactions, customers and operations. Relevant backgrounds include: Fintech, payments and acquiring Businesses managing high volumes of payments, settlements, gateway fees, refunds, chargebacks and reconciliation. Consumer lending and embedded finance Companies offering credit, instalments, lending or financing products involving disbursements, collections, partner economics and revenue sharing. Marketplaces and transaction-heavy technology platforms Businesses handling customer payments, merchant or partner settlements, commissions, refunds and multiple revenue streams. Proptech and real-estate operating platforms Companies supporting landlords, property managers, developers or real-estate portfolios through software, payments, leasing or operational services. SaaS and subscription businesses Companies with recurring revenue, customer onboarding, deferred revenue, pricing plans, customer retention and product-level profitability. High-growth, venture-backed startups Early or growth-stage companies where the finance team has built processes, reporting, budgets and controls while the business was scaling quickly. Digital banks and financial-services platforms Businesses offering digital accounts, card products, payment services, lending or other embedded financial products. Experience in a company that has moved from founder-managed finance to a more structured finance function would be particularly relevant. We are less focused on candidates whose experience has been limited to traditional bookkeeping, audit or large corporate finance roles without direct exposure to transactions, product economics or business operations.
