Site Civil Engineer (Warehouse Projects)

The client is in the construction industry and is looking at hiring a Civil Site Engineer for their team at Dubai. Position: Civil Site Engineer (Warehouse Building Construction) Location: Dubai, UAE Industry: Building Construction (Warehouse Projects) Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: Client is seeking an experienced and proactive Civil Site Engineer with proven expertise in warehouse building construction to oversee and coordinate site execution activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and manage all civil construction activities for warehouse building projects. • Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and method statements before execution. • Coordinate daily site activities with subcontractors, foremen, surveyors, and project management. • Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and relevant codes. • Plan and monitor construction progress to meet project milestones and deadlines. • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and authorities during inspections and approvals. • Monitor productivity, manpower, materials, and equipment utilization. • Raise RFIs, site instructions, and technical queries whenever required. • Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely delivery of construction materials. • Verify material quality and ensure compliance with project specifications. • Conduct daily site inspections and identify quality or safety issues. • Work closely with QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. • Coordinate with Quantity Surveying and Planning teams for progress tracking and project updates. • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure timely completion of assigned works. • Resolve technical issues arising during construction. • Ensure proper documentation of inspections, material approvals, and site records. • Attend project coordination meetings and provide construction updates. • Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations and company procedures. Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. • Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience as a Civil Site Engineer in warehouse building construction. • Strong knowledge of warehouse construction methodology, including: o Industrial foundations o Structural concrete works o Steel structure coordination o Floor slab construction o External works and infrastructure • Experience coordinating with structural steel contractors and MEP contractors. • Good understanding of Dubai Municipality regulations and local construction practices. • Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. • Knowledge of Primavera P6 is an advantage. • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Valid UAE Driving License is preferred. Preferred Experience: • Experience in industrial warehouse, logistics park, factory, or distribution center construction. • Experience with structural steel warehouse buildings. • Knowledge of warehouse floor flatness requirements and industrial concrete flooring. • Experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
