Job Summary The Civil Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and managing on-site construction activities for high-rise building projects, ensuring all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules. The role requires close coordination with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective project delivery. Key Responsibilities • Supervise and coordinate all structural, architectural, and civil construction activities on high-rise building projects. • Ensure construction works are executed in accordance with approved IFC drawings, specifications, method statements, and project quality requirements. • Plan, monitor, and manage day-to-day site activities to achieve project milestones. • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors to ensure productivity, workmanship, and compliance with contractual requirements. • Review shop drawings, technical submittals, RFIs, and construction details prior to execution. • Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, MEP, Planning, Survey, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless project execution. • Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality, identify non-conformities, and implement corrective actions. • Monitor structural activities including excavation, foundations, raft slabs, basements, reinforced concrete works, vertical elements, post-tension works (where applicable), and superstructure construction. • Supervise architectural finishing activities and ensure compliance with approved materials and specifications. • Coordinate inspections with consultants and authorities and ensure timely closure of comments. • Monitor material deliveries, workforce allocation, equipment utilization, and site productivity. • Identify construction challenges and proactively recommend engineering solutions to minimize delays. • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management. • Ensure compliance with UAE building regulations, local authority requirements, and company procedures. • Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across all site activities. • Support testing, commissioning, snagging, project close-out, and handover activities. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. • Membership with a recognized engineering body is an advantage. Experience • 2 years of experience with a main contractor delivering high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use building projects. • Proven experience managing structural works from foundation through superstructure and architectural finishes. • Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction methodologies. • UAE experience is mandatory.
