Operations Manager

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Logistics and Fulfilment functions. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring our operations are efficient, scalable, and consistently deliver an outstanding customer experience across both our DTC and B2B operations. Role Overview Reporting directly to the COO, you’ll lead the end-to-end Logistics and Fulfilment operation across both our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Business-to-Business (B2B) channels. You’ll be responsible for leading operational teams, driving continuous improvement, improving service levels, optimising costs, and building scalable processes that support the next phase of growth. Working closely with Production, Culinary, Procurement, Food Safety & Quality, Customer Experience, Finance, and Technology, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our operation runs safely, efficiently, and consistently every day. Responsibilities Logistics • Lead the day-to-day logistics and transport operation. • Manage fleet performance, dispatch, and route optimisation. • Ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery performance. • Improve fleet utilisation and driver productivity. • Monitor logistics KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Fulfilment • Lead the fulfilment operation across both DTC and B2B channels. • Ensure customer orders are picked, packed, quality checked, and dispatched accurately and on time. • Improve fulfilment accuracy, labour productivity, and operational efficiency. • Develop scalable fulfilment processes that support business growth. • Reduce operational errors while maintaining exceptional customer service. Leadership • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leaders, drivers, and operational staff. • Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. • Recruit, onboard, and develop team members. • Set clear expectations, monitor performance, and support professional development. Key Objectives • Deliver exceptional logistics and fulfilment performance across both DTC and B2B operations. • Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation, SOP development, and operational excellence. • Improve labour productivity, fleet utilisation, and overall operational efficiency. • Optimise route planning, dispatch performance, and delivery costs while maintaining exceptional service levels. • Build and develop high-performing operational teams through coaching, accountability, and performance management. • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical, scalable solutions. • Use KPIs and operational data to drive decision-making and improve business performance. • Support automation and technology initiatives that improve operational efficiency. • Ensure a safe, compliant, and well-managed operation. • Build scalable processes and operational capability to support the continued growth of FITT Meals. About You We’re looking for someone who: • Has a minimum of 5 years’ experience leading logistics, fulfilment, or distribution operations. • Has previous leadership experience within the food manufacturing, meal production, food distribution, FMCG, or food service industry. • Has proven experience managing fleet, dispatch, fulfilment, and distribution operations. • Is experienced in leading high-performing operational teams. • Has a strong understanding of KPIs, workforce planning, and operational performance. • Has a continuous improvement mindset and enjoys solving complex operational challenges. • Is confident using data to drive decisions and improve performance. • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. • Is an excellent communicator who builds strong relationships across departments. • Leads with integrity, accountability, and ownership.
