About the Role: Almarai is seeking an experienced occupational health and safety leader to take full ownership of the Health, Safety & Security function across our poultry farming operations at Alshamli, Hail & Aljouf. The role leads a team of HSS professionals across our three facilities, owns the divisional risk, audit, and training agenda, and acts as the authority on safe operating standards for one of the most operationally demanding environments in the business. The role is approximately 90% occupational health and safety and 10% security. Requirements & Key Responsibilities • University Degree, with a NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) in Occupational Health and Safety as a mandatory requirement • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in occupational health and safety, with a proven track record at senior or managerial level • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team of HSE professionals • Experience holding health and safety accountability across multiple operating sites simultaneously • Experience gained within poultry, livestock, agriculture or food production is preferred; candidates from FMCG, petrochemical, mining, utilities, logistics, hospitality, military or Civil Defense backgrounds are equally encouraged to apply • Proven ability to influence and hold a technical line with senior operational management • Demonstrated experience managing emergencies, crisis situations and site evacuations • Management Systems: Implement and maintain the Health, Safety & Security Management System across the division in line with company policy and KSA legal requirements • Risk: Own the divisional risk assessment process to identify, rank and eliminate risks to people and operations • Audit & Assurance: Develop and deliver the divisional audit plan, conduct audits and assessments, and coach line managers in effective self-audit • Investigation: Lead incident and accident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action to prevent recurrence • Training & Competency: Direct the divisional HSS training function and ensure competency across the workforce • Performance Reporting: Record, monitor and report divisional HSS performance with accurate and timely statistical reporting to divisional and Group stakeholders • Fire Protection: Own fire prevention and protection standards across the sites, including detection and suppression systems, inspection regimes and maintenance oversight • Emergency Preparedness: Develop, test and maintain emergency response and crisis management arrangements across all locations • Projects & Contractors: Advise on the health, safety and security aspects of capital projects, new construction and contractor activities • Welfare: Inspect accommodation and welfare facilities as part of routine site visits • Collaboration: Work closely with the Farming Operations team on the interface between health and safety and biosecurity • Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice or NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma, IOSH membership (Technical or Graduate), Institute of Fire Engineers membership, and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification are an advantage • Fluent written and spoken English If you meet the qualifications and are looking for a challenging opportunity in a dynamic industry, please apply now.
