Senior Engineer, Process (Di-Ammonium Phosphate)

Job Purpose Advance the application and integration of engineering technology within the assigned discipline or project portfolio. Deliver expert engineering solutions that improve operational performance, manage risk, strengthen competitiveness, and balance technical, operational, financial, quality, schedule, and safety requirements. Operate independently at the execution level to analyse complex engineering challenges, develop and implement fit-for-purpose solutions, and provide credible technical advice to stakeholders. Contribute to continuous improvement, research and development, knowledge transfer, and the development of junior engineers while recognising when additional guidance or specialist support is required. 2. Key Accountabilities Engineering Solutions & Operational Excellence - Deliver engineering solutions and technical advice that improve business performance and organisational competitiveness. - Develop cost-effective technical solutions within agreed quality, schedule, and risk parameters. - Analyse engineering components, systems, and processes to identify and implement operational improvements. - Optimise equipment, systems, and processes by balancing technical, operational, and financial requirements. - Generate and implement technical ideas that create tactical improvements within the team. - Conduct research and development that leads to practical engineering solutions. - Apply relevant technologies and industry knowledge to strengthen technical delivery. - Improve team work processes to enhance technical performance and execution efficiency. - Take decisions that optimise total cost of ownership while balancing cost, schedule, quality, and risk. Technical Assurance & Risk Management - Lead Root Cause Analysis, Process Hazard Analysis, and Risk Assessment activities. - Develop preventive maintenance schedules, technical procedures, safe work instructions, and inspection reports. - Identify stakeholder needs and translate them into clear technical requirements and deliverables. - Define and improve quality standards, specifications, and technical requirements. - Review and sign off technical work within the assigned discipline to maintain delivery quality. - Supervise and assess technical work completed by peers, contractors, and consultants. - Review and develop policies, procedures, standards, methods, and engineering practices where required. - Monitor process and risk impacts and implement appropriate reporting and corrective actions. - Promote compliance with applicable technical procedures, specifications, legal requirements, and company standards. Project & Performance Delivery - Plan and manage engineering projects in line with agreed targets and business requirements. - Manage personal work priorities and delivery commitments independently. - Deliver technical services and solutions on time, cost-effectively, and within defined risk parameters. - Provide accurate and timely information to internal and external stakeholders. - Complete and distribute technical and performance reports in accordance with required standards. - Manage technical risks, HSE requirements, and delivery outcomes across assigned work. - Provide engineering advice that supports programmes, systems, and business decisions.
