Today, we are recruiting for a Point Machine Installation & T&C Engineer to join our team in UAE. What Are My Responsibilities? - Install, adjust, align, and maintain railway point machines, including Siemens ELS 710 and S700K systems, in accordance with approved installation procedures and project requirements. - Install, adjust, and test ELP 319 point detectors and point lock systems , ensuring correct mechanical and electrical functionality. - Perform wiring inspections, continuity checks, insulation checks, and functional testing of point machine and detection circuits. - Carry out point machine setup and throw adjustment activities, including verification of correct locking, detection, and end-position conditions. - Execute Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities in accordance with approved project procedures, test specifications, and railway safety requirements. - Conduct mechanical and electrical inspections to verify correct installation, alignment, wiring, and operational performance of turnout equipment. - Troubleshoot point machine, detection, locking, and associated signalling interface faults and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions. - Verify interfaces between point machines, point detectors, and railway signalling/interlocking systems during testing and commissioning activities. - Supervise and coordinate minor civil works related to point machine installation, including precast foundation preparation and installation , ensuring correct positioning and alignment. - Prepare and maintain installation, testing, inspection, and commissioning documentation in accordance with project quality requirements. - Prepare detailed test reports, inspection records, punch-list documentation, and commissioning records to support system handover. - Coordinate with engineering, installation, testing, signalling, civil, and other project teams to resolve technical and site-related issues. - Ensure all installation, testing, and commissioning activities comply with applicable railway safety, quality, technical, and operational requirements . What Do I Need to Qualify for This Job? - Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline . - Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in railway signalling installation, testing, and commissioning. - Proven practical experience with Siemens ELS 710 or S700K point machines . - Hands-on experience with ELP 319 point detectors and point locking systems . - Practical knowledge of point machine installation, mechanical alignment, throw adjustment, locking, detection, wiring, and functional testing. - Experience working on railway signalling projects , including metro, mainline, or high-speed rail environments. - Good knowledge of railway turnout systems, signalling interfaces, interlocking systems, and railway testing and commissioning procedures . - Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, installation drawings, technical specifications, and testing procedures. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults effectively. - Knowledge of railway safety, quality, and installation standards. - Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary site teams and contractors. - Willingness to work on project sites and support installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities as required. - Fluent in written and spoken English .
