What Are My Responsibilities? - Supervise daily installation, testing, and commissioning activities within the assigned work section, ensuring that activities are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements. - Manage and coordinate technicians, laborers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient execution of installation and Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities. - Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required for installation and commissioning activities. - Support the preparation and completion of installation and testing documentation in accordance with project procedures and quality requirements. - Monitor daily progress and report work status, technical issues, risks, and site constraints to the responsible Engineer and Installation & Site Manager. - Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and defect rectification activities to ensure signalling systems meet the required technical and operational standards. - Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, quality standards, project specifications, and approved installation and testing procedures. - Maintain accurate daily reports, installation records, testing documentation, and other relevant project records. - Coordinate installation and commissioning activities with other disciplines, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure proper interfaces and timely execution. Scope of Work - Cable pulling, routing, termination, continuity testing, and related installation activities. - Balise installation, testing, and commissioning. - Axle Counter installation, testing, and commissioning. - Point Machine installation, adjustment, testing, and commissioning. - Installation and integration of indoor signalling equipment, including Interlocking, RBC, Axle Counter cabinets, equipment racks, and power distribution systems. - Installation and testing of Asset Protection Systems, including HABD, HWD, RFD, RFID, and related systems. - Control Center/OCC equipment installation, testing, and integration activities. - Interface coordination with signalling, telecom, electrification, civil, and other project disciplines and contractors. What Do I Need to Qualify for This Job? - Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline . - Minimum 5 years of experience in railway signalling installation, testing, and commissioning. - Practical experience in railway signalling installation activities, including cables, balises, axle counters, point machines, indoor signalling equipment, and related systems. - Experience coordinating and supervising technicians, laborers, subcontractors, and site installation activities. - Strong knowledge of railway signalling installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and defect rectification procedures. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, installation procedures, and testing documentation . - Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to monitor site progress, identify technical and operational issues, and coordinate timely corrective actions. - Strong commitment to HSE, quality, and compliance with project requirements. - Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and contractors in a dynamic project environment. - Willingness to work at project sites and support installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities as required.
