Lucid Motors
About Lucid At Lucid, we are creating exceptional mobility experiences through innovation to drive the world forward. Built on Lucid’s proprietary technology and software-defined vehicle architecture, our award-winning vehicles bring our “Compromise Nothing™” approach to the global automotive market. That means refusing to choose between performance and sustainability, design and engineering, ambition and integrity. In Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity, we have designed and built vehicles that have redefined their segments, combining exceptional range, performance, design, and expansive space in a single experience. We achieve this through deep vertical integration, with design, engineering, and production happening in-house across our global offices and manufacturing facilities. Our teams come from industries around the world, united by a shared commitment to excellence. By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility. Position Overview This position requires an experienced professional with extensive expertise in end-to-end Dimensional Engineering across the complete vehicle development lifecycle. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical and leadership capabilities, a proactive mindset, and a demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading dimensional engineering activities through vehicle launch, while effectively collaborating across Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Development, and Supplier organizations. They must be able to translate vehicle-level dimensional requirements into robust product and process solutions that ensure world-class fit, finish, and craftsmanship. This individual is expected to demonstrate technical excellence, sound engineering judgment, and a relentless commitment to continuous improvement. They will be recognized subject matter expert who consistently raises the level of technical rigor within the organization, mentors and develop engineering talent, and drives the adoption of best practices and standards. The ideal candidate embraces challenges with energy, determination, and a strong sense of ownership, striving for excellence in all aspects of their work while maintaining the highest standards of quality, innovation, and execution. They must possess the ability to influence cross-functional teams, resolve complex technical issues, and deliver dimensional performance targets that support successful vehicle launches and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities - Lead the collection, and deployment of dimensional targets, ensuring they are effectively incorporated into product, process, and tooling designs. - Validate in launch component and assembly locating strategies to achieve vehicle-level dimensional objectives. - Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to develop robust tooling concepts that support dimensional quality targets throughout product development and production. - Provide technical leadership for the validation of dimensional simulation models using 3DCS. - Collaborate closely with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering teams to develop, validate, and implement Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements. - Lead the optimization, and validation of GD&T schemes for components and assemblies to ensure dimensional performance meets or exceeds program targets. - Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive gaging and measurement strategies for prototype and production phases for in plant assemblies. - Drive cross-functional reviews to identify dimensional risks and recommend design, process, tooling, and manufacturing improvements. - Lead root cause investigations and resolution activities for dimensional issues identified during prototype builds, launch, and production. - Develop dimensional engineering standards, best practices, methodologies, and procedures to improve organizational capability and consistency. - Provide technical mentorship and guidance to dimensional engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams. - Lead the development, deployment, and delivery of dimensional engineering training programs as required across engineering and manufacturing organizations. - Support vehicle architecture development by establishing and managing system and subsystem dimensional requirements throughout the product lifecycle. - Present dimensional performance, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to engineering leadership and program management teams. - Ensure successful execution of dimensional engineering activities from concept developm
