Position Overview We are seeking a highly Sr. Launch Engineer to support vehicle launch, production ramp-up, and ongoing manufacturing operations. This role serves as the primary link between Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Suppliers, and Program Management to ensure interior and exterior systems are delivered with exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for execution. This position requires a high level of ownership, resilience, and willingness to go above and beyond to resolve issues and achieve program milestones. Key Responsibilities - Lead launch and production support activities for vehicle interior and exterior systems. - Support prototype, pilot, pre-production, and Start of Production (SOP) builds. - Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality, fit and finish, gap and flush, craftsmanship, manufacturing, and supplier-related issues. - Partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, Program Management, and Design Engineering teams to ensure successful vehicle launches. - Track, prioritize, and drive closure of launch issues while proactively identifying and mitigating risks. - Support process improvements focused on quality, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction. - Act as the on-site engineering representative during critical launch activities and production escalations. Skills - Strong technical aptitude and a relentless problem-solving mentality. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions. - High level of ownership, accountability, and urgency. - Willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment and support critical launch activities as needed. - Ability to work effectively with global engineering teams, including teams based in the United States. This requires flexibility to participate in early-morning or evening meetings outside normal working hours when business needs require. - Self-motivated, resilient, and committed to doing what it takes to deliver world-class products and launch success. Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of automotive engineering experience in Interiors, Exteriors, Vehicle Integration, Manufacturing, Quality, or Launch Engineering. - Strong understanding of automotive products, manufacturing processes, and engineering fundamentals. - Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, or similar tools. - Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensional reports, and technical data. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
