Beginning of the main content section.Return to the home pagePrintable Format Job Description - Technical Operator - Operations Control Center (25001703)Job Description Technical Operator - Operations Control Center - (25001703) Job Description Job Purpose:Follow up and supervise the operation of all bus routes and drivers, to ensure compliance with bus operationalstandards including safety and security.Roles & Accountabilities:# Monitor bus routes and ensure that trips are made according to schedule# Receiving and answering calls and inquiries of drivers who need assistance and providing advice on appropriateprocedures, especially in cases of an accident or reporting its reality# Identify and inform drivers to follow the bus routes under instructions from the supervisor, in the event of abreakdown scenario in the metro that needs support from the bus management# Advising drivers on corrective action in case of late arrival using the AVM communication protocol# Submit operational reports according to operation (daily, weekly, monthly) for operating cases that affectperformance indicators and submit proposals, such as but not limited to (development of operation, reductionof lost kilometers, reduction of bus progress rate on time, increase the percentage of bus commitment toscheduled schedules OTP, etc...) in order to coordinate with the concerned in the Planning and BusinessDevelopment Department# Inform supervisors of the obstacles or operational difficulties encountered in the routes of flights and seekadvice to deal with them# Ensure that all corrective actions are recorded in the AVM system for reference when needed in the future# Dealing with system or equipment errors or bus malfunctions and taking immediate measures to ensure theprogress of the operational process and informing the supervisor when necessary# Support shift supervisors on a daily basis, to measure the impact of corrective actions taken by shelterstations and bus stations related to key performance indicators# Ensure that the daily operations report is submitted on time, including: the number of flights canceled oradded, the percentage of delayed flights and which control center managers and supervisors take appropriateaction# Any additional responsibilities as advised by the direct Line Manager or Head of Department# Adhere to RTA information Security Policies and Procedures, related to data protection and as per approvedregulations. Qualifications Education# High School 2 years of relevant work experience.Skills# A good user of the computer - A good listener and communicator and a high ability to communicateand transmit information orally and in writing - A good listener and communicator and a high ability tocommunicate and transmit information orally and in writing - Fluent in English in reading, writing andspeaking, preferably fluent in Arabic. Handle system or equipment errors and inform supervisor as needed. Support shift supervisors daily to assess impact of actions on KPIs at shelters and bus stations. Ensure daily operations report is submitted on time (cancellations, delays, responsible managers). Perform additional duties as assigned by Line Manager or Head of Department. Adhere to RTA information security policies and procedures.
