Beginning of the main content section.Return to the home pagePrintable Format Job Description - Inspector - Buses and Maritime Transport Monitoring (25000788)Job Description Inspector - Buses and Maritime Transport Monitoring - (25000788) Job Description Key Results Accountabilities:· Working after official working hours whenever necessary for the benefit of the work.· Responding to inquiries and comments from the public at various work sites politely and providing them with accurate and precise information, as well as participating in spreading public transportation culture and educating users of all types of transportation means by distributing brochures, maps, and schedules to the public as per the instruction.· Preparing necessary effective reports to improve the quality of services provided by public transportation and the Roads and Transport Authority to the public.· Reporting inspection results to the direct supervisor.· Performing other duties and responsibilities related to the job as assigned.· Inspecting charter bus passenger transport activity and ensuring compliance of operators with the laws and regulations issued by the relevant authorities in this regard.· Inspecting school transport activity and ensuring compliance of operators with the laws and regulations issued by the relevant authorities in this regard.· Inspecting passenger transport activity across international lines and ensuring compliance of operators with the laws and regulations issued by the relevant authorities in this regard.· Inspecting tourist transport activity and ensuring compliance of operators with the laws and regulations issued by the relevant authorities in this regard.· Verifying that users of all types of transportation means (public transportation, maritime transport) pay the prescribed fees for using transportation services by auditing the approved payment methods and cards as specified by the authority regarding (card validity limits, permitted areas, expiry date, etc.), and taking appropriate action to deal with violations upon discovery according to the executive regulations.· Inspecting air-conditioned shelters and ensuring compliance of users with the applicable laws and regulation.· Exercising the powers of judicial control officers and issuing necessary violations for both users and operators of public transportation, maritime transport, school transport, charter bus passenger transport, tourist transport, and passenger transport across international lines, and imposing fines in accordance with the provisions and terms of the regulations and laws issued.· Ensuring the availability of security and safety requirements in public transportation means, maritime transportation means of all types, passenger buses, school transport, tourist transport, and passenger transport across international lines.· Receiving custody of inspection supplies and maintaining them from the time of receipt until they are returned.· Receiving and executing the daily work schedule from the direct supervisor.· Inspecting maritime transportation means and ensuring compliance of users, drivers, and operators with the laws and regulations issued by the relevant authorities in this regard, organizing maritime transport networks with all means and verifying compliance with schedules, work areas, as well as compliance with the standards and specifications stipulated in the operation agreements for each service.· Inspecting public transportation means and ensuring compliance of users, drivers, and operators with the laws and regulations issued by the relevant authorities in this regard.
