This role is about more than selling cars, it’s about building trust, delivering experiences, and representing a brand that is redefining mobility. We are looking for a Technical Advisor to join our BYD Aftersales team across various locations in the UAE. This role is responsible for providing expert technical guidance during advanced vehicle diagnostics, supporting service advisors and technicians, and ensuring complex customer concerns are accurately identified and resolved the first time. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving workshop efficiency, customer satisfaction, and brand confidence through strong technical expertise, clear communication, and hands-on diagnostic support. What you will do: • Support service advisors during customer intake for advanced diagnostic cases by confirming reported symptoms and clarifying technical concerns. • Conduct road tests and observations with customers where required to accurately understand and replicate vehicle issues. • Provide hands-on technical support to diagnostic technicians throughout the repair process to ensure accurate and efficient resolution. • Review and support warranty repair processes, ensuring reports and supporting documents are completed correctly and in line with principal requirements. • Ensure diagnostic tools and equipment are available, updated, calibrated, and maintained according to distributor and principal guidelines. • Collaborate with technical, warranty, branch, and training teams to improve repair quality, process compliance, and workshop performance. • Coach and support technicians through technical information sharing, on-the-job guidance, and continuous improvement practices. • Follow HSSE, 5S, SOPs, and principal standards to maintain a safe, compliant, and high-quality workshop environment. Required skills to be successful: • Strong technical diagnostic capability within an automotive workshop environment. • Ability to identify, replicate, and resolve complex vehicle faults accurately and efficiently. • Good understanding of warranty repair processes, technical reporting, and principal standards. • Hands-on experience using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment. • Strong communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are highly preferred. • Customer-focused approach with the ability to explain technical concerns clearly and professionally. • Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail. • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, multicultural workshop environment. • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to coach and support technicians. About the team: You will be part of the BYD Aftersales team, working closely with the Workshop Supervisor, Service Advisors, Workshop Controller/Planner, Diagnostic Master Technicians, Technical Support Engineer, Technical Support Manager, Warranty Team, Distributor Operations Team, and Al-Futtaim Automotive Talent Center. The team is focused on delivering high-quality technical support, improving Fix It First Time performance, enhancing customer experience, and maintaining strong brand standards across the UAE network.
