Laboratory Specialist I - Biology

The Department of Biology invites applications for a Laboratory Specialist to support teaching, research, and laboratory operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining laboratories, organizing materials and equipment, assisting faculty and students, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and institutional procedures. Grade: 6.

Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Laboratory Science, or a closely related field. Preferred qualifications: -Relevant laboratory experience in an academic, clinical, industrial, or research setting. -Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. -Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students. -Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills -Proficiency in maintaining accurate laboratory records.
