Wet Chemist / Wet Chem Technician

Key Responsibilities – Wet Chemist / Wet Chem Technician Perform wet chemical analysis of samples accurately and efficiently, following approved testing methods and laboratory procedures. Operate laboratory instruments, including AAS, ICP, UV, LECO and XRF, to support laboratory testing activities. Conduct routine equipment checks and report instrument faults or maintenance requirements to the supervisor. Follow quality control procedures, maintain accurate laboratory records and report any non-conformities. Prepare, handle and label laboratory solutions and standards correctly. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, ensure proper use of PPE and comply with safety, hygiene and QHSE requirements. Monitor laboratory supplies and report shortages or operational issues to the supervisor. Support daily laboratory operations to ensure timely, reliable and accurate test results.

Qualifications and Experience A Chemistry-related qualification is preferred. Minimum 2 years of relevant laboratory experience. Hands-on experience in wet chemical analysis. Practical experience with AAS and ICP is a priority. Experience with UV, LECO and XRF is an advantage. Good understanding of laboratory procedures, quality control and safety requirements. Good communication skills.
