F&B Waiter and Waitress

Novotel Dubai Gold District The Role: The Waiter / Waitress is responsible for providing efficient and professional food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness and service standards within the outlet. Key Deliverables and Responsibilities: Welcome guests warmly and present menus. Take accurate food and beverage orders. Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally. Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction. Input orders into the POS system accurately. Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely service. Ensure special requests and dietary requirements are communicated properly. Prepare tables before service (mise en place). Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and organized at all times. Clear and reset tables efficiently after guest departure. Recommend menu items, specials, and promotions. Encourage upselling to enhance guest experience and increase revenue. Maintain cleanliness of the service area and equipment. Follow food safety (HACCP) and hygiene standards. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times. Present bills accurately and process payments when required. Handle cash and card transactions responsibly. Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth service operations. Assist other team members during busy periods.

Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred. Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures. Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage. Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong customer-service orientation. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multicultural environment. Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Ability to work as part of a team and maintain good communication with colleagues.
