We are looking for an experienced Civil Inspector – Wet Utilities to join our infrastructure project team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in wet utilities and infrastructure construction, with strong experience in stormwater works . Key Responsibilities: Inspect and monitor wet utility construction works, including stormwater, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, and associated networks . Conduct daily site inspections to ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and project requirements. Inspect the installation of stormwater pipelines, manholes, catch basins, gullies, drainage structures, and associated works . Inspect sewerage, potable water, and irrigation pipelines and related structures as required. Review and verify Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the Contractor and ensure works are ready for inspection. Monitor the quality of materials, workmanship, installation, bedding, backfilling, compaction, and protection of wet utility networks. Witness and inspect testing activities, including pressure testing, leakage testing, CCTV inspection, and other applicable tests. Verify line, level, alignment, slopes, and invert levels of pipelines and drainage structures. Ensure construction works comply with approved shop drawings and project specifications. Identify defective or non-compliant works and coordinate with the Engineer and Contractor for corrective actions. Monitor the Contractor’s compliance with approved method statements, ITPs, and quality requirements. Coordinate with surveyors and other disciplines to ensure correct setting out and levels. Maintain accurate records of inspections, site activities, testing, and quality-related issues. Participate in site meetings and coordination activities as required. Support the Engineer in monitoring construction progress and quality of the works. Ensure health, safety, and environmental requirements are followed during site activities. Requirements: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Relevant experience in wet utilities and infrastructure construction, with strong experience in stormwater works . Good knowledge of stormwater, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation networks . Experience in inspecting pipelines, manholes, drainage structures, and associated infrastructure works. Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and inspection procedures. Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams. UAE infrastructure and Authority experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail and good communication and coordination skills.
