Urban Designer

We're looking for a talented Urban Designer to join our Urbanism + Planning team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will contribute to the conceptualization and design of compelling urban development projects that shape vibrant communities and enhance quality of life. Working collaboratively with architects, planners, engineers, and stakeholders, you will help create sustainable, well-designed urban spaces that drive positive impact and economic growth in one of the world's most dynamic cities. Responsibilities: Develop urban design concepts and frameworks for residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies to inform design strategies and recommendations Create detailed urban design plans, master plans, and design guidelines that align with sustainability principles Utilize advanced urban design software and tools to produce compelling visualizations and technical documentation Engage with clients, government agencies, and community stakeholders to understand requirements and present design solutions Analyze demographic data, market trends, and site conditions to support strategic design decisions Collaborate with landscape architects, transportation planners, and sustainability consultants to integrate best practices Ensure all designs comply with UAE building codes, zoning regulations, and municipal guidelines Prepare clear and professional presentations of design concepts and project updates for clients and leadership Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all deliverables and design documentation Stay current with emerging urban design trends, technologies, and sustainable development practices Support the coordination of multidisciplinary project teams to ensure seamless project execution

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Urban Design, or a related field Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in urban design, masterplanning, or related disciplines Advanced proficiency in urban design software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, ArcGIS, and Revit Strong knowledge of urban planning principles, zoning regulations, and design standards Demonstrated expertise in sustainable urban design and green building practices Experience developing master plans and mixed-use development projects Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, both written and verbal
