Senior Corrosion Engineer

1. Check plant equipment for corrosion and metallurgical problems. 2. Coordinate with other stakeholders to investigate failures of static equipment and piping.3. Update corrosion manuals (CCD) and Inspection plans based on damage susceptibility. 4. Attend regular meeting with the chemical treatment contractor and coordinate the actions with him to ensure proper chemical treatment minimizing corrosion risk. 5. Coordinate with Laboratory Division, Process Engineering Division and Operation Department that the sample analysis required to ensure effective corrosion monitoring are in place and executed as per plan. 6. Participate in committees and conference on corrosion prevention and material selection in order to take into account the lessons learned of the industry and to consider the latest developments in term of corrosion monitoring. 7. Propose upgraded material as needed to meet business requirement. Assess and propose alternative material as required. 8. Review the material selection during engineering phase of projects in order to meet the long term asset integrity standards and Company specifications and procedures. 9. Validate the corrosion loops and circuitization of piping for new projects based on damage mechanisms study. 10. Monitor the corrosion coupons and corrosion probes, assess the results and provide recommendation for corrosion mitigation as needed. Recommends for adding or moving corrosion probes. 11. Review the results of cathodic protection survey and provide solution for any identified problem. 12. Review painting, coating and lining procedures for new surfaces or previously coated surfaces of static equipment and piping. 13. Provide technical support to select new coating and supervise its application. 14. Prepare technical reports for corrosion analysis on static equipment and piping during normal operation and during Turnaround/Shutdown. 15. Ensure the expected and actual damage mechanisms with their susceptibility are addressed in RBI study. 16. Review all Management Of Change, waiver or technical query potentially impacting the corrosion (e.g. process changes...) 17. Evaluate corrosion control contractor's performance and provide recommendations on corrective actions in case of discrepancies. 18. Define the scope of work for failure analysis, coordinate their execution, review the final report and validate the conclusions and recommendations. 19. Guide the Inspection team providing potential area of corrosion to be monitored. 20. Participate to the investigation of failure and Root Cause Analysis related to static equipment and piping providing expertise on potential damage mechanisms. 21. Review regularly the KPI of corrosion rate and provide recommendation for monitoring and mitigating corrosion. 22. Provide training courses on material and corrosion as requested. 23. Define and review the Integrity Operating Windows. Track any IOW exceedance and follow-up on the corresponding corrective actions. 24. Receive work directions and instructions from Inspection Superintendent and report about the progress of his activities. 25. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Inspection Manager.

Participate in failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis related to static equipment and piping, providing expertise on damage mechanisms. 21. Regularly review KPI of corrosion rate and provide monitoring and mitigation recommendations. 22. Provide training courses on materials and corrosion as requested. 23. Define and review the Integrity Operating Windows; track any IOW exceedances and follow up with corrective actions. 24. Receive work directions from the Inspection Superintendent and report progress. 25. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Inspection Manager.
