About the role

Duties and responsibility in EPC/ORP phase: • Follow-up of furnace design and construction in its area of expertise (process), with the furnace team (multidisciplinary: maintenance, operations, process). • Contribution to commissioning and start-up • Preparation of the optimization process for operations and cleaning and retubing phases (tools, PI, operational windows, long-term plan, schedule, etc.). PMT/EPCC support activities : • Proponent for Package 1 on furnace related items • Participate to Furnace design reviews • Oversee the furnaces EPC phase, work closely with PMT and contractors and commissioning teams to address any concerns or issues • Participate to the formal handover from the commissioning team to Petchem • follow up of the punch list of the furnace section • SME / technical&maintenance expert during the commissioning phase of the furnaces (furnace dry outs, chemical cleaning, …) • Review of licensors’ furnace documentation • Performance verification: validate that the furnaces’ performance meets the design specifications and operational targets Operational readiness activities : • Establish the systems for on line monitoring of the furnaces (temperature monitoring, coke build up follow up, run length follow up, TLE fouling, coil balancing, …) • Setup the tools to allow efficient monitoring of the each furnace. • Develop the corresponding procedures • Provide training to all relevant crews, Operations and Maintenance Education Background: Degree in Chemical Engineering Experience: • Min. 7 years experience in process eng. within refining, petrochemical or chemical process industries. • Experience with operations, improvements, optimization and designs in the field of combustion and cracking furnaces is preferable • Experienced user of process and Furnace simulation tools.
