Architectural Inspector (7+ years of experience) - RMJM Skip to main content Hit enter to search or ESC to close Close Search search Menu Architectural Inspector (7+ years of experience) RMJM is seeking to appoint a Architectural Inspector to support the continued growth of our Dubai Site Supervision Team. Responsibilities will include: Managing construction supervision responsibilities related to Architectural Discipline to ensure achieving milestones and timely and best-quality project delivery. Inspecting site conditions before the start of construction activities. Verifying the compatibility of the site with the designed permanent works. Checking for obstructions. Photograph and document the condition of an existing property that the work might damage. Reviewing materials delivered to site for conformance with approved samples, materials and equipment and report findings. Checking that materials delivered to site are appropriately stored and reporting discrepancies. Inspecting the construction of temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with the Contract Documents and approved shop drawings and submittals. Preparing daily logs and reports. Maintain records of inspections made, tests performed, work executed, etc. Performing all work in accordance with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual. Observing site safety practices and the progress of the work. Reporting any concerns. Assisting with the inspection of completed works. Helping prepare punch lists. Monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the works. Assist in the review of Shop drawing and Material submittal related to Architectural and ID works. Perform all other duties given by the direct manager. Qualifications and Skills: Minimum Seven (7) years experience in a similar or equivalent position and job description, 3 years (UAE) Construction Administration experience in Consultancy Firms and others, Middle East buildings project experience. Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines: Architecture or Architectural Engineering. Review of drawing related to ID works and inspection on site Good oral and written communication skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems and trade practices is required. Minimum seven (7) years of experience in a similar or equivalent position, plus 3 years (UAE) construction administration experience in consultancy firms and/or Middle East buildings project experience. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering. Strong written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems and trade practices. Proficiency in computer applications.
Manage construction supervision responsibilities related to the Architectural discipline to ensure milestones are achieved and project delivery is on time and of high quality. Inspect site conditions before construction activities. Verify site compatibility with designed permanent works and check for obstructions. Photograph and document existing property conditions that the work might affect. Review materials delivered to site for conformance with approved samples, materials, and equipment; report findings. Ensure materials stored appropriately and report discrepancies. Inspect construction of temporary and permanent works to verify compliance with Contract Documents, approved shop drawings, and submittals. Prepare daily logs and reports; maintain records of inspections, tests, and work performed. Follow Contract Administration Procedures Manual; monitor site safety practices and progress. Report concerns and assist with inspection of completed works. Help prepare punch lists. Monitor startup, testing, commissioning, and handover of works. Assist in the review of shop drawings and material submittals related to Architectural and ID works. Perform any other duties as assigned by the direct manager.
